The Blood Of Christ And The Importance Of Gathering Together – Good Friday – 2024.03.29

Hebrews 10:19-25 (KJV)

19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

21 And having an high priest over the house of God;

22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

When we are in Christ we can be bold to come to Father like little children to pray to and worship God. This is because of the blood of Jesus Christ which He shed on the cross for everyone, if they believe. Through His blood He consecrated us (made us new creations, dedicated to Him, being sanctified as we walk with Him). Today on Good Friday let us come boldly to our Creator and Saviour thanking Him for His sacrifice, the blood he shed, His love and mercy. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, casting away all doubt holding fast the confession of our hope without wavering because He sprinkled us with His blood that takes away our sins (not just covers them). We are now clean before Him because we have asked for forgiveness and repented.
To do draw near and hold fast, God has given us His Holy Spirit, Who teaches us and Jesus placed us in His Body the Church. When we gather together, as an act of love, worship and obedience to Him, He enables us to stir up love and good works in each other exhorting one another. For we are not meant to nor can do this alone. It is essential in these days as the Day is approaching.
When we gather together next time we most likely will be looking at the whole of this chapter, as there are so much we can talk about including the blood Jesus shed and the many more reasons we need each other to fulfil His call and purpose and avoid apostasy.
