John 2:19-22 (KJV)
19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21 But he spake of the temple of his body.
22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
Jesus Christ knew why He came, what will happen to Him and what He would do.
Revelation 1:4-8 (KJV)
4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Jesus came to die and rose from the dead on the third day to pay for everyone’s sins and give eternal life to all who believe in Him.
Because He is risen, He now holds the keys of hell and death. He won the victory!
Revelation 1:18 (KJV) I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
He loved us so much that He poured out His blood to wash us from our sins.
Not only has He cleansed us from our sin but made us kings and priest to His God and Father.
He did it for love and because of that Jesus was, is and will be glorified.
Jesus Christ is the beginning and the end. He was there in the begging and will remain forever. There is non like Him.
John 1:1-4 (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Let us reflect on Christs, death, resurrection and glorification.
Let us glorify Him.
Let us put our trust in Him through whom everything was created and holds the keys.
Let us believe in Him, and bear fruits worthy of repentance being ready for His return, so we will not be found on earth mourning with everyone who did not believe as He said in verse 7 of Revelation chapter 1:
“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen”
