Knowing and speaking what Jesus is saying – 2024.04.29

John 7:16-18 (KJV)
16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
GOD gives His people understanding of His ways and discernment if a doctrine is from GOD or not.
The key is to want to do GOD’s will which starts of with believing in Him as we saw yesterday (Where does faith come from – 2024.04.28) and the day before yesterday (Hearing and believing – 2024.04.27)
When we have that attitude then we know if it is form GOD or not as He is the one who gives the us the revelation of the truth.
Like Jesus, He wants us not to speak from ourself but from what He is saying.
Matthew 10:20 (KJV) For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. John 8:28 (KJV) Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
It is the LORD by the Holy Spirit who initiates what we are to say and this is all done by faith. We are to glorify Jesus in whatever we do and say and as Christ dwells in us, no unrighteousness can dwell in us, because Jesus is righteousness.
1 John 3:7 (KJV) Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
Let us have ears to hear and the courage to speak.
Revelation 3:22 (KJV) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
