Revelation 22:20 (KJV) He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Are we ready for the LORD to come and take us with Himself?
He is coming quickly. He wants His people to be ready and found walking in the Holy Spirit
“Revelation 22:14 (KJV) Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”
“Romans 8:1 (KJV) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
He desires as many as are willing to be saved.
“1 Timothy 2:4-6 (KJV) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”
“John 3:15-16 (KJV) That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.“
Therefore the LORD is calling people to himself by the Holy Spirit and by His church (the bride).
Revelation 22:17 (KJV) And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
We are calling people to come to Jesus, be reconciled to GOD, repent of their sins, and receive eternal life with GOD, in short surrender to and obey Jesus. Therefore one of the reason the Holy Spirit is here is explained in “John 16:8-11 (KJV) And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.”
The Holy Spirit also teaches us and empowers us to be his witnesses.
“John 16:12-15 (KJV) I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.”
“Luke 24:46-49 (KJV) And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 And ye are witnesses of these things. 49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.”
As we see His return coming let us also be diligent to do what is written in
“Hebrews 10:23-25 (KJV) Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
Do do His work we need be unmovable in the faith the LORD gave us. Not just think about ourself but our bothers and sisters in the faith to encourage each other to love like Christ loved us and do the works He called us to.
And finally because His return is imminent to stick together and fellowship with one another as much as we can so we can exhort one another to keep on keeping on.
”come, Lord Jesus.”
