Matthew 15:29-31 (KJV)
29 And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.
30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:
31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
When we read the gospels we can see many times that Jesus Christ healed many people, cast out demons and taught about the Kingdom of God. Here Jesus was up on a mountain. Imagine the faith and determination needed to carry the lame and lead the blind up a mountain or hill. On the mountain is where Jesus Christ teaches us His ways “Micah 4:2 (KJV) And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”
Then being with Jesus on the mountain, they laid them before the feet of Jesus to heal them.
Being at the feet of Jesus is the best place to be. Here are some other verses where people where at the feet of Jesus:
“Luke 8:35 (KJV) Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.”,
“Luke 8:41 (KJV) And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought him that he would come into his house:”,
“Luke 10:39 (KJV) And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.” And
“John 11:32 (KJV) Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.”
At His feet we find, deliverance, healing and hear Him speak. It is a place where we recognise and show that Jesus Christ is LORD and KING. It is a place of supplications and prayer. It is a place for the poor in spirit. It is a place for the humble. It is a place where we come to know Him more.
Let each one of us go up to the mountain and fall down, sit at or lay down at His feet, listening to Him and bringing our requests to Him. Not only that, but let us help others, who want to go but need help to get there, by carrying or leading them to His feet up the mountain where they can: be healed, delivered, walk by themself, see and hear Him.
