Deuteronomy 33:27 (KJV) The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
When we face the enemy we need to know that the GOD of creation, He who holds up everything and orchestrates the universe is our refuge. That His arms are underneath us holding us up. “Psalms 140:7 (KJV) O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.”. He is the one who will fight for us and destroy the enemies that try to destroy us. “Psalms 24:8 (KJV) Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.” It is His fight, His battle, His war. “Deuteronomy 33:29 (KJV) Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.” He saved us by His grace giving us the helmet of salvation. He is our shield giving us the shield of faith to defect the accusation and attracts of the enemy. He gives us His word as our sword to cast down all imagination and thoughts that war against us. He will expose the lies of the enemies by His word and tread them down in their perceived security.
The LORD GOD Himself trains and teaches us to fight in this spiritual warfare. “Psalms 144:1-2 (KJV) A Psalm of David. Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: 2 My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.” He is our goodness, our fortress, our height tower, our deliverer, our shield and lead us into victory. Therefore let us keep our trust in Him no matter what we see, hear, face or fight against.
“Psalms 98:1-9 (KJV) A Psalm. O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. 2 The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. 3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. 4 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. 5 Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. 6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King. 7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. 8 Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together 9 Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.”
