Luke 7:30 (KJV) But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.
Here we see that GOD has a will for everyone but we can choose to be in it or reject it. His will is for everyone to be saved “1 Timothy 2:3-4 (KJV) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” Yet GOD knows that not everyone will be saved “John 3:16-21 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”.
The Pharisees rejected GOD’s will for themselves because of their pride and religiosity. They rejected to believe in Jesus and did not repent. This choice will result in judgment and ultimately hell, “Luke 13:3 (NKJV) I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”.
But we can choose to enter into GOD’s will for our life’s by having faith in Jesus Christ. Then when we choose life, we know just like the sinful woman in Luke 7:36-50 that:
“Luke 7:48 (KJV) And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.”
“Luke 7:50 (KJV) And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.”
Choosing to believe in Jesus Christ will result in forgiveness of our sins, having peace with GOD and becoming part of His family.
“Mark 3:35 (NKJV) For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.””
