No anxious mind – 2024.07.16

Luke 12:29-31 (KJV) And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. 30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. 31 But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Seek here in the is G2212 (Strong) ζητέω zēteō dzay-teh’-o
Of uncertain affinity; to seek (literally or figuratively); specifically (by Hebraism) to worship (God), or (in a bad sense) to plot (against life): – be (go) about, desire, endeavour, enquire (for), require, (X will) seek (after, for, means).

Seeking indicates a major relentless effort, endeavour with great persistence till it is found. When we look. For something precious we stop all other activity and fully concentrate on finding what we seek. This is how we are to seek GOD and not the worldly things. Oh LORD Help us to seek you with such intensity and urgency.

The NKJV renders “ye of doubtful mind” to “nor have and anxious mind”.
We are told not to have an anxious mind – a mind filled with anxiety, doubts, thoughts of worry that go around and around and drowned out everything else out. Thought we can not put aside, that keep surfacing. How do we change that? Well I believe by first and for most seeking the Kingdom of God first. Making His kingdom priority. One of many ways to seek is to praise, worship and adore our GOD and LORD Jesus Christ. Thinking about His: majesty, splendour, goodness, mercy, power, love, grace, holiness, creativity, …. Everything else turns insignificant in His wondrous light and glory. Our concerns and worries fade away as we realise He is in control, He got it. Let us turn our eyes on GOD the Father, through Jesus Christ GOD the son by the unction of the GOD the Holy Spirit.
“Daniel 7:9 (KJV) I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.”
“Revelation 1:13-18 (KJV) And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”
“Revelation 4:8-11 (KJV) And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. 9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, 10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
“Revelation 5:11-14 (KJV) And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. 13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. 14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.”
