1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 (KJV)
9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
Continuing on from “Rapture Ready – 2024.08.01 https://missioncommunities.network/2024/08/01/rapture-ready-2024-08-01/”, we are to wait, anticipate Jesus Christ coming to take us home, to be with Him for eternity. “1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 (KJV) For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
No one knows when it will happen, but the time is coming closer as we see things getting ready for the wrath of GOD to be poured out as described in the judgements in the book of Revelation. “Mark 13:32-33 (KJV) 32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.”
In verse 10 of 1 Thessalonians we can see that He will deliver us from the wrath by taking us home. In Revelation 3:10 (KJV) Jesus promised “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.”
Therefore be encouraged and let us wait patiently for Him by continuing to hold fast on Jesus Christ and holding fast to and strengthen our faith, trust and obedience to Him.
“Revelation 3:11 (KJV) Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.”
