1 Thessalonians 3:2 (KJV) And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:
We all need someone to establish and encourager us in or faith. We are not meant to be alone. The LORD has placed us in His body the church so we can grow, discover our purpose and fulfil it and be ready when He comes. It is not an individual purpose but it is linked to the overall purpose of the church and each one of us has to play a part in it.
To be established also means we are able to stand fast in the LORD,that as we are anchored in Him (standing on the rock of our salvation Jesus Christ) noting can move us and this is true live. “1 Thessalonians 3:8 (KJV) For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.” In the Bible Knowledge Commentary it says “Nothing filled the apostles with joy like news that their converts were standing firm in the Lord. This was the desired result in all their ministry; in this they found their greatest fulfillment. “Standing firm” (stēkete; cf. 2Th 2:15) in the faith is really “standing firm in the Lord.” Such a relationship strengthens one to withstand the storms of life.”
The aim we all have is for our hearts to be established in Him, so we remain in Him, live life’s that are blameless and holy before GOD when He comes to take us home “1 Thessalonians 3:13 (KJV) To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.”
Therefore let us encourage and exhort each other that it is essential for each one of us to be established and stand firm in our faith and help each other to do the same. “Hebrews 3:12-14 (KJV) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;”
