Hosea 14:4 (KJV) I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.
This message is for both the backslider and follower of Jesus.
The LORD GOD is gracious and merciful and is calling those who strayed back to Himself.
He is calling “Isaiah 1:18-20 (KJV) Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.”. He is willing to turn away His anger, forgive, forget and heal the backsliding. It is because of His immense love.
He is calling the backslider to return. “Hosea 14:1-2 (KJV) O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity. 2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.”
Jesus Christ wants to use us to bring back the wayward to be His hands and feet to in that work of restoration.
“James 5:19-20 (KJV) Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; 20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.”
How will the LORD receive the backslider who repents? Have a read of “The Parable of the Prodigal Son” in Luke 15:11-32. He will complete restore and there will be a great celebration in heaven.
Let us take parable of the “The Parable of the Lost Sheep” as part of our instructions, searching out and brining back those who wandered away, to fulfil the great commission “Luke 15:1-7 (KJV) Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him. 2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them. 3 And he spake this parable unto them, saying, 4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? 5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. 7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”
Jesus Christ is calling the backslider to come back to Himself, He suffered on the cross for each one, and will heal their backsliding, He will forgive and set each one on solid ground.
