Psalms 19:1-6 (KJV)
1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
GOD who created the heavens and earth demonstrates that He exist and also some of His character. The realisation of GOD through creation, can results in people to seek Him and also gives no excuse to anyone. He made it all manifest in creation.
“Romans 1:18-20 (KJV) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”. Therefore it is foolish to say that there is no GOD and accountability. “Psalms 14:1-3 (KJV) To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. 2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. 3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
We all have strayed, we all are separated from GOD because of sin. But thanks be to GOD that He Himself made a way for us to be reconciled with Him, cleansed from our sin and brought back in relationship with Him that was broken because of sin. Through the good news of Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection to pay the price for our sin (inherited from Adam and committed by us) He made the way. “Titus 2:11-14 (KJV) For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”
He then leads us to His perfect way, revealed through the Word of God by the Holy Spirit.
“Psalms 19:7-11 (KJV) The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.”
Jesus Christ the son of GOD made the way for us to be converted and our broken relationship to be restored. He reveals Himself, convicting people of sin by the Holy Spirit “John 16:8 (KJV) And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:”
We start to be in awe of GOD (fear Him). Faith in the gospel results in repentance and salvation, bringing great joy.
Then we want to think and do according to His ways and not sin anymore.
He by His Holy Spirit helps us to be transformed and empowers us more and more to walk in His ways.
Let us be encouraged today that we keep our eyes and heart of Jesus Christ so that whatever we do, say and think will be acceptable to Him, our LORD and GOD.
“Psalms 19:11-14 (KJV) Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. 12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. 13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.”
