Revelation through the Word of God – 2024.08.22

Acts 16:14 (KJV) And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.
GOD reveals Himself to people who seek for Him. Have a look at “GOD revealed through creation – 2024.08.15 https://missioncommunities.network/2024/08/15/god-revealed-through-creation-2024-08-15/”. Here we discover that Lydia was seeking after and worshiping GOD but did not know the way of salvation. The Holy Spirit lead Paul and the mission team to her and Jesus Christ opened her heart as they preached the gospel. “Romans 10:17 (KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”. The GOD of creation leads His people to share His word and He Himself then reveals the Word of God. It is a sudden knowing that what is spoken is truth and faith comes. This then results in heeding the Word of GOD, as Lydia did. This revelation of Jesus Christ being the way of salvation (“John 14:6 (KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”) comes from GOD and can be seen where Peter confesses Jesus as the Messiah “Matthew 16:15-17 (KJV) He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”
GOD has demonstrated His grace through creation, He set eternity in the heart “Ecclesiastes 3:11 ”, enabling people to seek Him and then when He is sought He will be found revealing Himself through His Word. “Matthew 7:7 (KJV) Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”
Therefore it is written in
“Titus 2:11-14 (KJV) For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”
Therefore let us not harden our hearts when we hear GOD’s word but instead respond to Him calling us to Himself.
