Jonah 3:1 (ASV) And the word of Jehovah came unto Jonah the second time, saying,
After Jonah repented GOD gave him another chance to fulfil His calling. He did this Not just for the sake of Jonah but for the sake of the people of Nineveh so they repent. “Jonah 3:5 (ASV) And the people of Nineveh believed God; and they proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.”. The LORD GOD’s is so full of mercy and grace that He does not discard is when we fail but picks us up and gives us another opportunity. Let us not waste the opportunity GOD gives us. He also want us to imitate Him “Ephesians 5:1 (ASV) Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children;” that we might forgive and give others another chance. “Matthew 18:21-22 (ASV) Then came Peter and said to him, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? until seven times? [22] Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times; but, Until seventy times seven.”.
Be encouraged today to not ignore when GOD calls us but to be obedient to His voice “Hebrews 4:7 (ASV) he again defineth a certain day, To-day, saying in David so long a time afterward (even as hath been said before), Today if ye shall hear his voice, Harden not your hearts.”. Let us give thanks to the LORD GOD Jesus Christ, place our hope in Him, who is full us grace and mercy and rejoice in Him
