Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Here we have an explanation of faith and all of Hebrews Chapter eleven gives us many examples of people who lived and acted on by faith. When we receive the Word of God with soft hearts GOD plants a seed of faith in us “Romans 10:17 (KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”. He gives us promises some are for the hear and now but most are for eternity in heaven. As we can see from the people of faith describes many did not see the the total fulfilment of their faith here on earth but GOD who promised is faithful “Hebrews 10:23 (KJV) Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”. We just need to keep holding fast of the faith we received. As we read the scriptures we can see further fulfilment past the lifespan of the hero’s of faith. But for every persons of faith in the GOD of creation we will receive our eternal promises/reward when we meet Jesus Christ in heaven “John 14:1-4 (KJV) Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. [2] In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. [4] And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.”
We who have not seen Jesus Christ in the flesh and have faith in Him are blessed. “John 20:29 (KJV) Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”.
Therefore let us hold fast and as the hero’s of faith “Hebrews 11:38-39 (KJV) (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. [39] And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:”. Let us not waver for we know that we now belong to the household of GOD “John 1:12-13 (KJV) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: [13] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” That our sins have been taken away by the blood of the lamb Jesus Christ “John 1:29 (KJV) The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”. And that our reward awaits us in heaven “Luke 6:20-23 (KJV) And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. [21] Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. [22] Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. [23] Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.”
