1 John 2:18 (KJV) Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
What is an antichrist? In 1 John 2:22 it says “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.”. So it is someone who is against Jesus Christ who does not believe in GOD the father and GOD the son. An antichrist works against the truth. During the church age there have been, now are and will be many antichrist. Some are rulers with great power to persecute the church like Nero. Others deceive individuals with twisted doctrine like saying Jesus Christ is not GOD out of which cults have come about. Prophecy in the bible can have multiple fulfilment with one main one. So it is with the antichrist. Even though there are many antichrist one will rise who will completely fulfill all prophesy. Thank GOD that He will take the church out of the way before he is revealed. In the meantime while we are in the world we fight not against flesh and blood but as it says in “Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Therefore let us be watchful, stand fast and firm in our faith, being GOD’s light and witnesses, being fully armed with GOD’s amour, not turning to the left or right, encouraging and supporting one another, ready to defend the truth, not being afraid of men but fearing GOD. As Jesus Christ said “John 16:33 (KJV) These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”. Therefore let us say, “Psalms 56:11 (KJV) In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.” And know that the LORD says to us “Isaiah 41:10 (KJV) Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
