John 20:9 (KJV) For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
For around three years Jesus Christ taught His disciples and also taught about the resurrection “Matthew 16:21-22 (KJV) From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. [22] Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.”. Yet, they did not really know, remember and believe that Jesus Christ would rise from the dead until it actually happened “John 20:8 (KJV) Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.”. The resurrection also was foreshadowed in various parts of the Old Testament like in Psalms 16:9-11 (KJV) “Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. [10] For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. [11] Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”.
This is a good lesson for us who have believed but not seen. How often do we hear some things in the Word of God preached and read it but we do not really understand, remember, know and believe until one day when the Holy Spirit reveals it to us personally “Matthew 16:17 (KJV) And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”.
Therefore be encouraged to not give up hearing, reading, studying and also declaring, to others, the Word of God, because in the end, it will produce faith in the right season. “Romans 10:17 (KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

The resurrection is the crux of Christianity.
1 Corinthians 15:16-24 (NLT)
[16] And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised. [17] And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins. [18] In that case, all who have died believing in Christ are lost! [19] And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world. [20] But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died. [21] So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, now the resurrection from the dead has begun through another man. [22] Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life. [23] But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised as the first of the harvest; then all who belong to Christ will be raised when he comes back. [24] After that the end will come, when he will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father, having destroyed every ruler and authority and power.
