Avoiding the tribulation – 2024.10.01

Revelation 3:7-13 (KJV)
7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Only the churches of Smyrna and Philadelphia had no criticism from the LORD. Here we read that the church was not strong from an earthly perspective. But they did what was important and obeyed the words of Jesus Christ. They did not deny the name of Jesus Christ in the midst of persecution and opposition but instead obeyed the LORD to persevere through the trails. Jesus Christ gave the church the promises that they would be taken away before the tribulation starts when the wrath of GOD is going to be poured out on the earth.
Therefore let us be encouraged to keep on keeping on for the LORD will rescue us from the coming tribulation if we overcome. Let nothing stop us from persevering in our faith in Jesus Christ. It does not matter if we seem insignificant in this world the important thing is that we are in Christ, loving Him and walking in His ways. Let us keep trusting in Him, “Philippians 1:6 (KJV) Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”. Let us comfort one another as times get tougher “1 Thessalonians 1:10 (KJV) And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.”

Only through faith in Jesus Christ can we be saved from our sin, the coming wrath and eternal condemnation.
