Revelation 14:7 (KJV) Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
“Proverbs 9:10 (KJV) The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”. What is the fear of GOD? The Bible Knowledge Commentary states “Fearing God (i.e., reverencing Him by worship, trust, obedience, and service) is the essence of a godly person (cf. Job 28:28; Pro 1:7; Pro 9:10; Ecc 12:13). ” and Proverbs 8:13 give us an insight of some the fruits of it “ (KJV) The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.” If we fear the LORD GOD we will want to depart form evil “Proverbs 16:6 (KJV) By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.”. Jesus said in Matthew 10:28 (KJV) “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” GOD is the Creator of heaven, earth, sea and everything else. There is none greater than Him. We can not compare ourself to Him. No one can match His glory and only He is worthy of any worship
One who fears God alone has no need to ever fear any man or anything else it cancels fear. “1 John 4:16-19 (KJV) And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. [17] Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. [18] There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. [19] We love him, because he first loved us.”. The outcome of fearing GOD is living a life of obedience to GOD, that glorifies GOD and worships Him only. “Revelation 14:12 (KJV) Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
Therefore let us encourage and pray for one another to fear GOD, walk in His ways and to glorify the name of Jesus Christ in our life.
