2 Samuel 22:2 (KJV) And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
The LORD GOD almighty is our rock, fortress and deliverer. In our distress we can call on Him “2 Samuel 22:7 (KJV) In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears”
We can know Him and see His salvation “2 Samuel 22:47 (KJV) The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.”.
How do we start to know Him in that manner? “2 Samuel 22:31 (KJV) As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.”. We can know Him by having faith in and putting our trust in Jesus Christ and the work He has done on the cross for each one of us. When we do that we realise that the Word of God is true and can be relied on (Jesus Christ is the Word of God “John 1:14 (KJV) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” ), that He is immovable, that He is our protection and that He delivers us.
Therefore be encouraged to start putting your trust in Jesus Christ or keep on trusting in Him no matter what is happening for we can be assured as it is written in Romans 8:24-28 (KJV) ”For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? [25] But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. [26] Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. [27] And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. [28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
