Mark 6:12-13 (KJV)
12 And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
13 And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.
Jesus Christ sent our His disciples to train them in preaching of repentance and to walk by faith (not bringing provisions for themself). GOD confirmed the word with sighs and wonders. As part of of that they anointed the sick with oil for healing. This is also mentioned in James 5:14-15 (KJV) “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: [15] And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” We can see that if we have committed any sin we should repent and ask for forgiveness. We know that “Romans 3:23 (KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” and that “1 John 1:7-10 (KJV) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. [8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”.

Therefore be encouraged to keep short accounts with GOD. When a sin in our life becomes evident to repent and ask for forgiveness. if you are sick and require the prayer of other be encourage to call the elders for prayer of healing and the anointing of oil.
