Do not give up – 2024.11.02

Mark 8:22-26 (KJV)
22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.
23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.
Continuing on about healing from the last three devotions.

I am being reminded here, that when we pray for people or we are being prayed for, for healing we should check to see for improvements and keep on praying or asking for prayer till we see the complete healing.

Healing is one of the many mysteries of the Kingdom of God. Some people get healed others do not some people get healed of one thing but not of another, some people pray for healing for others and see them but themself are not healed from one thing or another. Some people pray for something and GOD answers but then ask for healing and do not get answered. There are many aspects in regard to this:

  • Faith of the person praying for healing,
  • Faith of the person desiring healing “Matthew 9:29 (KJV) Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.”, “Acts 14:9 (KJV) The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,”,
  • Gifts of healing “1 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV) To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;” (notice the plural in gift?), (not everyone has one or more of these gifts “1 Corinthians 12:30 (KJV) Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?”) and
  • Ultimately GOD’s sovereign will “1 John 5:13-15 (KJV) These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. [14] And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: [15] And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”.

Let us be encouraged and not loose heart to:

  • Pray for others for healing.
  • To ask for prayer for healing when we need it.
  • Endeavour to be lead by His Holy Spirit and pray according to GOD’s will.
  • To keep on surrendering to and obeying Jesus Christ no matter if we see healings or not – no matter what….
  • Stand on the Word of God and His promises.

“Exodus 15:26 (KJV) And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”
