GOD’s mercy and grace – 2024.11.08

Psalms 103:8 (KJV) The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
Have a read of the whole Psalm and study it.

The LORD GOD almighty, who created everything, is merciful and gracious. He understands us and is slow to anger to give us time to repent and avail ourself of His amazing mercy and grace. He wants to bring everyone back to Himself (for we all have strayed), forgive our sins, heal our diseases, deliver us from destruction, demonstrate His great love to us. Yet He is righteous and just. “2 Peter 3:9 (KJV) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”, “Romans 3:23 (KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Therefore, He has made the way for everyone, by free will, to come back to Him. He did this through Jesus Christ. “John 3:16-21 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. [18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. [21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” We all can know His everlasting mercy, and be made righteous, by, fearing Him (see Fear and give glory to GOD – 2024.10.12 https://missioncommunities.network/2024/10/12/fear-and-give-glory-to-god-2024-10-12/) and deciding to surrender and submit ourself to Him. “Psalms 103:17-18 (KJV) But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children; [18] To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.”. “1 John 3:23-24 (KJV) And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. [24] And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.”

Let each one avail himself/herself of His great salvation by turning away from our own ways and believe in and follow Jesus Christ. Be encouraged to read, and listen to the words of Jesus Christ for “Romans 10:17 (KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” That you might believe in Him. “1 Corinthians 15:1-3 (KJV) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; [2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. [3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;”

When we put our trust in Jesus Christ we the will know as  it is written in “Psalms 103:9-14 (KJV) He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. [10] He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. [11] For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. [12] As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. [13] Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. [14] For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.”

When we believe in Jesus Christ we can say like David did “Psalms 103:1-6 (KJV) A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. [2] Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: [3] Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; [4] Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; [5] Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. [6] The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.”.

Therefore be encouraged and decide today to follow Jesus Christ, to enter the into His Kingdom “John 10:9 (KJV) I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” and learn from Him “Matthew 11:29 (KJV) Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”.
