Luke 21:9 (KJV) But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
In Matthew 24:6 (KJV) “And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.” And Mark 13:7 (KJV) “And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.” The promise of the end not being immediate, when we see all these things, is repeated.
When we see all these things we are not to be terrified. It is all in GOD’s plan and we are in his good hands. GOD’s love for us is so great that we do not have to fear. “1 John 4:18-19 (KJV) There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. [19] We love him, because he first loved us.”.
We know that He has prepared a place for us in heaven. “John 14:1-4 (KJV) Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. [2] In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. [4] And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.”.
Not only that, He is delaying the outpouring of His wrath to allow as many as possible to come to repentance and be with Him for eternity.
“2 Peter 3:7-10 (KJV) But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. [8] But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. [9] The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. [10] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”
Therefore be encouraged, to believe in and call on the LORD Jesus Christ to be save and as a follower of Jesus Christ, to live in thaw described by Paul in 2 Peter 3:11-15 (KJV) “Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, [12] Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? [13] Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. [14] Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. [15] And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;”
