Psalms 139:1-6 (KJV)
1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.
2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
There is nothing hidden before the LORD GOD Almighty. He is the creator and sustainer of all things. He knows us intimately. Every thought, whatever we do, whatever we say. He knows and understands it even before He created us. It is beyond or comprehension. “Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV) Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”.
All we can say is “Psalms 139:23-24 (KJV) Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: [24] And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”.
Therefore be encouraged today that we are an open book to the LORD. We do not need to try to hide before Him if we mess up. There is actually nowhere to hide. Let us instead call on Him and trust in Him and His mercy which endures forever. “Psalms 136:1 (KJV) O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”. Let us confess our faults before Him. “1 John 1:9 (KJV) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”. Let us turn from our wicked ways. “2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
