Psalms 146:3 (KJV) Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
We are advised not to trust and rely on people. People are not perfect and fail. In the end we do not have control over many things even when we make promises we might not be able to keep them because of circumstances. “James 4:13-15 (KJV) Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: [14] Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. [15] For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.”
Instead we are to:
“Proverbs 3:5-8 (KJV) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. [7] Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. [8] It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.”
And say: “Psalms 121:1-2 (KJV) A Song of degrees. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. [2] My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.”
Therefore be encouraged to trust in the LORD. He is our help. Even when we accept and rely on help from people our final trust should be in the LORD, who He is and what He can do. In the end He is in total control.
Then, when we hope in the LORD GOD we can be happy because:
“Psalms 146:5-10 (KJV) Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God: [6] Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever: [7] Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners: [8] The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous: [9] The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. [10] The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.”
