Proverbs 21:5 (KJV) The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.

The word thought here in Strong is defined as:
H4284   (Strong)
מַחֲשֶׁבֶת    מַחֲשָׁבָה
machăshâbâh    machăshebeth
makh-ash-aw-baw’, makh-ash-eh’-beth
From H2803; a contrivance, that is, (concretely) a texture, machine, or (abstractly) intention, plan (whether bad, a plot; or good, advice): – cunning (work), curious work, device (-sed), imagination, invented, means, purpose, thought.

We need to think about what we are going to do and not rush into things. Therefore we have to make plans. The plans we make are to be made in consultation with the LORD and not independently. “Proverbs 16:9 (KJV) A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.”

Once we have a plan of action we need to pursue it with diligence, being careful to adhere to it and be persistent not letting things distract us or dissuade us from aborting it. “Proverbs 10:4-5 (KJV) He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. [5] He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.”

If we don’t make plans and stick to them we can sand up making hasty decisions forgetting to consult with the LORD GOD and His word and therefore can run into trouble.

Let us be encouraged today to think about what our actions should be and plan accordingly not rushing into things. To make good plans we need to have a vision from the LORD and then plan according to the vision we have received. “Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”  For more on this have a look at: “https://missioncommunities.network/2025/01/21/pause-lets-not-rush-in-2025-01-21/
