Psalms 31:1-3 (KJV)
1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.
2 Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.
3 For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.

How do we know if we have GOD’s guidance, protection and deliverance? It is when we put our trust in Him. “Proverbs 3:5-7 (KJV) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. [7] Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”

When we turn to Jesus Christ, turning away from our wicked works, we can say you are my LORD and Saviour – You are my GOD in You will I trust. From that we can be assured that we are His children and that He will lead, protect and deliver us in a way that is best and will bring glory to Him. The important thing is not to lean on our own understanding but trust in Him like a child trust.

Therefore let us be encouraged today to be of good courage and trust and hope in Jesus Christ no matter in what we face.
“Psalms 31:14 (KJV) But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.”
“Psalms 31:24 (KJV) Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.”
