Suffering and deliverance – 2025.03.08

Psalms 34:19 (KJV) Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Even those who are in right standing with GOD through faith in Jesus Christ will have troubles and afflictions. But praise the LORD that He will deliver them one way or another. Consider Steven, he preached the gospel but was stoned and died and the LORD delivered him by taking him home.
“Acts 7:54-60 (KJV) When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth. [55] But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, [56] And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. [57] Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, [58] And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul. [59] And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. [60] And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.”

Also read about Peter and John who where brought before the council after a miracle and the preaching of the gospel. “Acts 4:15-22 (KJV) But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, [16] Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it. [17] But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name. [18] And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. [19] But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. [20] For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. [21] So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done. [22] For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.”

Therefore be encourage that whatever affliction we are going through, may it be: persecution, false accusation, shipwrecks, sickness, disaster, etc.. when we are in Jesus Christ we will be delivered from all of them.
“Hebrews 12:2 (KJV) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
