Psalms 23:2 (KJV) He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

Before we look at the still waters let us backtrack to Jesus Christ making us lie down in green pastures.

In Ezekiel 34:14-15 (KJV) It is written “I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel. [15] I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.”

This scripture expands what the LORD does. Not only does He make us to lie down but He provides and feeds us from abundantly, good and fat pastures. We then can freely feed from them.

Therefore let us be encouraged that the LORD Jesus Christ has good pastures prepared for us. Let Him lead us to them and let us feed on His word that He freely provides for us. By feeding on His word we discover more and more His will for us and apply it in our life. In other words partaking of the Word of God results in faith and faith results in action and action results in the will of GOD being accomplished.

“John 4:32-34 (KJV) But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. [33] Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? [34] Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”
