Walking through – Psalms 23 Part 11 – 2025.04.03

Psalms 23:4 (KJV) Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

In life there are things that good and bad. Let us all be encouraged today that no matter what we face we shall not want, because Jesus Christ is our good Shepherd. We do not need to even fear death. “Philippians 1:21 (KJV) For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” For either way will work out for the good of us. “Romans 8:28 (KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

We can fully trust in Him. He is the one leading us. One thing I have discovered in life and the LORD shows us here is that He does not always take away bad things that happen but that He leads us through them. He dose that for our growth, and or His glory, and or as an example for others. The encouraging thing is that He is ever present and will provide comfort to us.

The important thing here is that we make Jesus Christ our Shepherd for if He is not our Shepherd we are alone and helpless. But even if He is not He offers each one to call on Him so that He might be the Shepherd of our soul. “Romans 10:8-12 (KJV) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. [12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.”.

Or if He is our Shepherd and we have strayed from Him also know that He is searching and wants to bring us back to His flock to make us lie down in green pastures and restore our soul. “Luke 19:10 (KJV) For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”, “Matthew 18:11-14 (NKJV) For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost. [12] “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? [13] And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. [14] Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.”
