Psalms 23:5 (KJV) Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
The LORD Jesus Christ, Himself, as the good shepherd, is preparing a table for us.
What actually does that mean?
Let us picture a great banquet which is not prepared by servants but by the LORD GOD Almighty. He the King has become a Servant. Like a good shepherd serves and gives His life for His sheep. It is so hard to comprehend the enormity of this fact.
Jesus Christ said that He came to serve “Matthew 20:28 (KJV) Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”
Therefore let us be encouraged today by knowing more and more the humility and servant hood of our LORD Jesus Christ. Let us be thankful in that and seek more and more to have the same attitude as He has and serve in the manager He has called us.
“Philippians 2:5-8 (KJV) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: [6] Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: [7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: [8] And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”
