Psalms 23:5 (KJV) Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
As we discussed yesterday about the servanthood of Jesus Christ let us look at the table He is preparing for us. It shows us that He is our provider. That we can fully trust in Him in what we need. Just like in verse one it says “Psalms 23:1 (KJV) A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” There is no need for us to want.
GOD’s provision starts right from the ultimate need everyone has and that is the salvation of our soul. “Luke 19:10 (KJV) For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”. “John 3:16-21 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. [18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. [21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”
Therefore let us be encouraged to day and know that Jesus Christ is our provider. That he cares of us His sheep as the good Shepherd. He provided for our salvation and will provide all we really need to live a life to glorify His name. “Philippians 4:19 (KJV) But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
