Righteous before GOD – 2025.05.07

Genesis 7:1 (KJV) And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

Noah was righteous before GOD in his generation. Because of this he and His family were saved from the flood. For Him, his family and the animals be saved he had to be in full obedience to the LORD, which he was.
“Genesis 7:5 (KJV) And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.”
Otherwise he would not have build the ark to GOD’s specification.

How can we become righteous before GOD? We all have sinned (missed the mark that GOD has set), we all have failed in this.
“Romans 3:10 (KJV) As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”
“Romans 3:23 (KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
“Matthew 5:20 (KJV) For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.”
“Acts 10:35 (KJV) But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.”
Is there a remedy, a solution?

Let us all be encouraged today that GOD Himself has provided the one and only solution to be righteous before Him. This is through Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of GOD, GOD the son.
“Isaiah 1:18 (KJV) Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
Therefore He send Jesus Christ.
“John 3:16-18 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. [18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
His righteousness comes to us by faith in Jesus Christ.
“Romans 3:21-31 (KJV) But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; [22] Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: [23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; [24] Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: [25] Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; [26] To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. [27] Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. [28] Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. [29] Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: [30] Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. [31] Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.”
When we born again by the Spirit of GOD because we believe in Jesus Christ we receive His righteousness. From that time on we are counted righteous. Out of this relationship we will start more and more to practice righteousness that is as Noah believing in and therefore obeying the LORD. GOD does not want us to miss the mark (sin) but to hit the mark. Therefore we need to seek Him and aim to obey Him and His word repenting of any shortcomings He shows us knowing that He will forgive.
“1 John 3:7 (NKJV) Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.”
“Matthew 6:33 (KJV) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
“1 John 1:8-10 (KJV) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”

The first righteous act of obedience we do is when we believe in Jesus Christ and out of this start loving the family of GOD.
“1 John 3:23-24 (KJV) And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. [24] And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.”
Out of this we start to walk in righteousness and obedience.
“1 John 2:1-6 (KJV) My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: [2] And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. [3] And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. [4] He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. [5] But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. [6] He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”
