Worshiping Jesus Christ – 2025.05.31

Matthew 28:16-17 (KJV)
16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

Jesus Christ has risen from the dead. He won the victory over sin, death and hell. “1 Corinthians 15:55-56 (KJV) O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? [56] The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.” And we will see it at the resurrection of our bodies. “1 Corinthians 15:51-54 (KJV) Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. [53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. [54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.”

His followers worshiped Him after His resurrection. “Matthew 28:9 (KJV) And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.”
Jesus Christ is worshiped in heaven. “Revelation 5:12-14 (KJV) Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. [13] And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. [14] And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.”

Therefore let us all be encouraged to worship Him together, Jesus Christ the Lamb of GOD who was slain, paid the price for our sins, and has risen from the dead that we might be saved and and be with Him forever.
