Acts 13:2 (KJV) As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
Let us be encouraged today and know that everyone who is in Jesus Christ has a purpose. Jesus calls each one of us to the work He has prepared. We need to recognise when He calls and respond appropriately to Him. Following the call of GOD will require separation from anything that is distracting us from it. There are so many good things we can do but we need to ask ourself what is Jesus Christ calling us to?
To discover the call/vision He has for our life we need to seek the LORD alone and also with other brothers and sisters.
The Holy Spirit will either:
- Speak to us through them and or confirm His word in our heart or
- Speak to us (in various ways) and confirm His word through them.
The important thing is to hear what Jesus Christ says via the Holy Spirit and then to act on it as Paul (Saul) and Barnabas did. “Acts 13:3-4 (KJV) And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. [4] So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.”
When we step out in faith to His Word the LORD Himself will have set it out all before us and tells us not to fear or be discouraged by what we will encounter. He is with us!
Deuteronomy 1:21 (NKJV) Look, the LORD your God has set the land before you; go up and possess it, as the LORD God of your fathers has spoken to you; do not fear or be discouraged.’
