The LORD is my help, strength and salvation – 2025.12.27

Psalms 118:13-14 (KJV)
13 Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.
14 The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

There might be people who make it their mission by, any means, to cause us to fall. We need to look beyond that because most of the time it is the enemy of our soul that is behind it. Therefore it is written about the devil and his demons in 1 Peter 5:8 (KJV) “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” and in John 10:10 (KJV) “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.“.

Let us therefore be encouraged to fully trust in the LORD because as it says in this psalm that the LORD Jesus Christ is our help, strength and salvation. He will help us and fight for us. “Deuteronomy 3:22 (KJV) Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.”
He will bring us through the battle victorious “Psalms 24:8 (KJV) Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.”.
We need to just understand that we do not fight people but spiritual forces and put on the amour – Jesus Christ – provided by GOD. “Ephesians 6:10-18 (KJV) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. [11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. [12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. [13] Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. [14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; [15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; [16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. [17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: [18] Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”

Let us pray. Jesus help me! I am under attack. You promised to get me through it. Help me. Give me strength to get through the battle. I know you will work it out for good even when I can’t see it and that in the end I will see your salvation. Help me to trust in you and sing your praises in the middle of the battle. I give you all the honour and glory.
