Psalms 119:86 (KJV) All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.

Let us be encouraged today and know that all that the LORD asks us to do according to His word is for our benefit and will pay off in eternity. “Romans 8:28-30 (KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. [29] For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. [30] Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”.

Yes when we walk in His ways there will be persecution. Jesus Christ guaranteed it. “Matthew 5:10-12 (KJV) Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [11] Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. [12] Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”. As we see persecution is done wrongfully by those who are not in the Kingdom of God. They are deceived by the devil and his cohort of demons.

We are encouraged to call on the LORD for help in times of persecution and also He wants us to forgive those who persecute us, just like Jesus Christ did.
“Matthew 5:44 (KJV) But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”
“Luke 23:34 (KJV) Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.”

Let us pray. Father help me for I am persecuted wrongfully because of you. Give me strength to overcome. I forgive those who try to hurt me, asking for mercy on them that the might come to know you an your salvation. You are my help in the time of need I call out to you, Help me! In the name of Jesus Christ.
