Repentance and some of its rewards – 2026.02.18

Proverbs 1:23-25 (KJV)
23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

Let us be encouraged to listen to the LORD when He corrects us. The Holy Spirit reveals to us GOD’s word and will convict us of sin “John 16:8 (KJV) And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:”. Let us not harden our hearts when He speaks but instead be quick to obey Him. “Proverbs 1:33 (KJV) But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.”.

When we repent and obey He promises to:

  • Pour out His Holy Spirit on us
  • Make His words know to us,
  • Give us understanding of His word, the bible,
  • Keep us save,
  • Keep us untroubled by fear of harm.

Let us pray. Father, we call on you in the name of Jesus Christ. Help us to always yield to you, be quick to repent, to turn form our sins and obey you. Keep us from temptation and guard us from the evil one. Help us to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh, taking up our cross daily. You said in1 Samuel 15:22 (KJV) ”And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.”. So help us to obey and follow You. Amen
