Saved from my enemies – 2026.02.26

2 Samuel 22:4 (KJV) I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

The LORD of heaven and earth wants us to call on Him and praise Him. He is interested in every part of our life. Therefore David decided to call on Him in faith believing that the LORD GOD will deliver him from his enemies. How did He call on Him?
He did it by:

  • Praising the LORD by telling Him
    ◦ who He is,
    ◦ what He did and
    ◦ what He does,
  • Telling Him of all his troubles,
  • Remembering what the LORD already did in his life and
  • Then by faith giving thanks of what the LORD will do in the present situation.

We discover that GOD equips us for the battle, that He will fight for us and that we then act according to His directions:
“2 Samuel 22:35 (KJV) He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.”
“2 Samuel 22:40 (KJV) For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me.”

Therefore let us be encouraged and respond to the situation like David did, praying in the above manner and then let us say as it is written in 2 Samuel 22:49-51 (KJV) “And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man. [50] Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name. [51] He is the tower of salvation for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.”
