Matthew 9:18 (KJV) While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live. https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.9.18
Matthew 9:21 (KJV) For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.9.21
Matthew 9:28 (KJV) And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.9.28
When we read all these verses they have one very important thing in common. Each one stated what will happen through Jesus Christ. Believing without seeing, that is faith. They heard and or saw what happens when Jesus Christ steps in. One asked Him to come and lay hands on his daugter. A group of blind men simply came to Him. The women did something that at that point was not yet seen or heard of to just touch the cloth of Jesus Christ. All acted by faith. “Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” https://bible.com/bible/116/heb.11.1
The outcome of these three encounters and faith were as follows:
- “Matthew 9:22 (NKJV) But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.” https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.9.22
- “Matthew 9:25 (NKJV) But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.” https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.9.25
- “Matthew 9:29-30 (NKJV) Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” [30] And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows it.”” https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.9.29-30
Therefore let us all be encouraged to build up ourself in the faith in Jesus Christ.
“Jude 1:20 (KJV) But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,” https://bible.com/bible/116/jud.1.20. We do this by praying in the Spirit, hearing, reading about Jesus Christ by getting together with others who believe sharing testimonies, encouraging one another, etc.. Let us ask “Mark 9:24 (KJV) And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” https://bible.com/bible/116/mrk.9.24
Let us pray. Father, I believe, help me build up my faith that I have no more doubt in my heart what you can and want to do in my life and the life of those who I meet. I so desire to see you work through me in signs and wonders that you be glorified, people be set free, healed, restored, saved,… in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
