Matthew 9:35-36 (KJV)
35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.9.35-36
Here we have a summary of part of the ministry that Jesus Christ did here on earth. He wants us to do the same. Not by our own abilities but by the power of the Holy Spirit.
“Mark 16:15-18 (KJV) And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. [17] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”. https://bible.com/bible/116/mrk.16.15-18
Let us be encouraged and know that Jesus Christ did these things because of His love and compassion for people. Our motivation should also be out of love and compassion plus to please and obey Jesus Christ but not out of compulsion. We have received these form GOD freely so let us give freely what He has given us. “Matthew 10:7-8 (KJV) And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. [8] Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” https://bible.com/bible/116/mat.10.7-8
Let us pray. Father we come to you in the precious name of Jesus Christ our saviour. We ask you to empower us by your Holy Spirit, and let Your love and compassion freely flow though us so that we will be your witness, that You be glorified and other will come to know You and taste Your goodness. Amen.
“Psalms 34:8 (KJV) O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” https://bible.com/bible/116/psa.34.8
