Acts 19:13-17 (KJV)
13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

There is a difference of really knowing and be known by someone then just knowing about them. The same goes with knowing about Jesus Christ and really knowing Him.
Many people can know about Jesus, what He did, what He said and even who He is. It is like many people know abort King Charles but how many do really know him. Not just anyone can go and call him or visit him.
“Luke 13:24-30 (KJV) Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. [25] When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: [26] Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. [27] But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. [28] There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. [29] And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. [30] And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.”

The sons of Sceva knew about Jesus Christ and took it upon themself to use the authority of Jesus Christ without really knowing Him and be known by Him. It is like someone saying one is a police officer and then trying to enforce something instead of being one with the right uniform, knowledge and training.

When we only know about Jesus Christ we need to move to knowing Him otherwise it will be all in vain and what Jesus Christ says about those who believe, trust and follow Him will not be valid. “Daniel 11:32b (KJV) …but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”

Therefore be encouraged today to seek our Jesus Christ and start to get to know Him by calling on Him to save us, read and study the bible, talk with Him on an ongoing basis, sitting at His feet, gathering with other believers,….
“Luke 10:38-42 (KJV) Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. [39] And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. [40] But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. [41] And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: [42] But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”
