Soul restoration – Psalms 23 Part 9 – 2025.04.01

Psalms 23:3 (KJV) He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
When Jesus Christ, the good Shepard, makes us lie down in green pastures and leads us beside Stil waters He wants to and works on our soul. Our soul is considered to consist of our mind, will and emotions.

In other words the leadings of the Lord result in us being blessed by spiritual restoration. The Lord provides us, who follow Him, with: forgiveness, joy, purpose, peace, and so much more.

Why does our soul need to be restored? It is because of sin. “Romans 3:23 (KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”. Soul has been corrupted since the fall of mankind in he garden of Eden, because sin corrupts and separates us from GOD. But GOD provides the solution. “John 3:16-21 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. [18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, / their deeds were evil. [20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. [21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”

Therefore be encouraged today to let and or to continue to let the LORD Jesus Christ restore our soul. He does this by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. Through this our attitude, will, perspective, behaviour, demeanour, our whole life be come more like Jesus Christ desires.
“Romans 12:1-2 (KJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
“Ephesians 4:22-24 (KJV) That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; [23] And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; [24] And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
“Ephesians 5:26-27 (KJV) That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, [27] That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”
