Comfort – Psalms 23 Part 12 – 2025.04.04

Psalms 23:4 (KJV) Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Let us all be encouraged today that GOD Himself wants to comfort us no matter what we are going through. He is there with us even when it does not look or feel like it. “Hebrews 13:5 (KJV) Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

When Jesus Christ was here on earth He promised us the Holy Spirit who will be here with and in us. “Ephesians 1:13-14 (KJV) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, [14] Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” He, the Holy Spirit is the guarantee of our inheritance in Jesus Christ.
GOD the Father sent us the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ to be there with us and to teach and comfort us. “John 14:25-27 (KJV) These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. [26] But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. [27] Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Imagine He is called the Comforter, one of His main purposes of His presence.
Therefore instead of running away from GOD when things are hard let us remain or draw near to GOD and stay there both in the good and bad times. In Job it is written “Job 17:9 (KJV) The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.”. If we are consistent in walking with Jesus we will grow stronger going from strength to strength and will not only know but experience the comfort of His rod and staff.
