Psalms 23:5 (KJV) Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Not only does the LORD GOD Almighty provide our needs.
When He provides it is with great peace. In the Treasury of David Commentary it says
“The good man has his enemies. He would not be like his Lord if he had not. If we were without enemies we might fear that we were not the friends of God, for the friendship of the world is enmity to God. ” also “Nothing is hurried, there is no confusion, no disturbance, the enemy is at the door and yet God prepares a table, and the Christian sits down and eats as if everything were in perfect peace. Oh! the peace which Jehovah gives to his people, even in the midst of the most trying circumstances!”
Therefore let us be encouraged today that Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace and He left with us an inheritance of peace that is in our Soul. “John 14:27 (KJV) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”. He can even make our enemies be at peace with us “Proverbs 16:7 (KJV) When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.”. Like when Saul became Paul turned from persecutor to proclaimer of the gospel (Acts 9).
