Psalms 23:6 (KJV) Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Where does goodness and mercy come from? They come from the LORD GOD Almighty. We know that only GOD is 100% good and merciful. No one else can acclaim to that.
“Mark 10:18 (KJV) And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.”, “Romans 3:23 (KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”, “Psalms 100:5 (KJV) For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”.
Therefore to really know goodness and mercy we have to know GOD. If we look to anywhere else to know and experience this we will not find pure goodness and mercy.
“1 Corinthians 2:9-16 (KJV) But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. [10] But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. [11] For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. [12] Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. [13] Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. [14] But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. [15] But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. [16] For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.”
Therefore let all of us be encouraged today to come to know and or come to a greater knowledge of GOD. Jesus Christ is and made the way for everyone to come to that knowledge. This starts with believing in Him, Jesus Christ, the son of GOD.
“1 John 5:10-13 (KJV) He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. [11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. [13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”
