Dwelling – Psalms 23 Part 30 – 2025.04.29 – Mission Communities Network

Psalms 23:6 (KJV) Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Last time we look at how we dwell in GOD and how He dwells in us. Today we will discover how we dwell in Body of Christ, Jesus Christs Church.
GOD not only left His Holy Spirit but also placed us in His body the Church so we are not alone. This is our permanent address, this is where we reside here on earth.

The “house of the Lord” is the household of God, it is God’s family. Jesus Christ is the cornerstone as well as the head of His church.
“Acts 4:10-12 (KJV) Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. [11] This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. [12] Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
“Ephesians 1:22-23 (KJV) And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, [23] Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”
We are also the adopted children of GOD.
“Galatians 3:26 (KJV) For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”

When we were born again we were baptised into the body of Jesus Christ – His church.
“1 Corinthians 12:12-14 (KJV) For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. [13] For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. [14] For the body is not one member, but many.”

Therefore let us be encouraged today that by the virtue of being in Jesus Christ we dwell in His body spiritually. Therefore let us endeavour to gather together, physically, as much as we can to edify one another and cause growth in all of us. This is the main way GOD intends us to grow into maturity.
“Hebrews 10:22-25 (KJV) Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. [23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) [24] And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: [25] Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
“Ephesians 4:15-16 (NKJV) but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— [16] from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
