Dwelling – Psalms 23 Part 32 – 2025.05.01 – Mission Communities Network

Psalms 23:6 (KJV) Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

In the last few devotions we discovered that we are in Jesus Christ and He is in us and that we will be with Him forever. Dwelling in the house of the LORD forever starts now here on earth when we are born again by faith in Jesus Christ. We are baptised into His body the church (the Forst out of the three baptisms). At that point Jesus Christ dwells in us by the Holy Spirit and we are in Him. The outworking of that is in our communion with GOD, following Jesus Christ in our walk on earth and relationship with fellow bothers and sisters in the household of GOD the church.

Therefore let us be encouraged every day to sit at His feet and learn from Him.
“Luke 10:38-42 (KJV) Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. [39] And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. [40] But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. [41] And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: [42] But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”
“Matthew 11:29 (KJV) Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
Let us follow Jesus Christ to the extend He has reveled Himself to us and Be more and more conformed to His image.
“Romans 8:29-30 (KJV) For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. [30] Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”

David longed to dwell in the courts of the LORD with a great intensity as we can read in PSALMS 84 and so let us long for Him more and more.
“Psalms 84:1-2 (KJV) To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts! [2] My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.”
