Psalms 96:6 (KJV) Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
A similar verse to this is found in 1 Chronicles 16:27 (KJV) “Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.”
Honour and majesty are before Him they are with Him and only with Him and no one else because:
- The LORD GOD Almighty is the only true GOD.
- Only in Him salvation is found.
- He is the Creator of all the universe and all that is within.
- He gives life to every living being.
- He created us in His image.
- He sustains everthing He created.
- He is love and full of kindness, goodness, mercy, grace …
- He is glorious and strong in the midst of His people.
His strength and beauty are manifest where He resides and where His people gather.
Therefore let us all be encouraged today that “Colossians 1:27 (KJV) To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”.
What a privilege GOD has given us by Him resigning in us by Hie Holy Spirit.
“Romans 8:9-11 (KJV) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. [10] And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. [11] But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
Let us try to comprehend, just a little, that therefore GOD’s Almighty’s strength and beauty are also in us because He chose to reside in us. Maybe that is why it says “2 Corinthians 12:10 (KJV) Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”.
He is the strength of our heart.
“Psalms 73:26 (KJV) My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.”
Therefore let us give and ascribe to Him who was, who is and is to come all glory and honour. Let our life’s give Him all glory and honour and demonstrate this to those around us.
